The director of Clinical Nutrition at Georgetown University Hospital, Estela Schnelle is also in private practice in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. She has been practicing nutrition for over nine years. Previous to moving to the region, Estela was the director of Clinical and Out-Patient Nutrition at Alvarado Medical Center in San Diego, CA.
In addition to counseling, Estela has given numerous presentations on sports nutrition, wellness, healthy eating for kids, diabetes, and general nutrition.
Estela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She is currently a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionist Dietetic Practice Group (SCAN), and Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetic Practice Group.
Estela founded “Simply 4 You Nutrition” in 2007 and is the nutrition writer for the Alexandria Sun.
As a fitness enthusiast herself, Estela applies her Simply 4 You philosophy to her own life as an avid runner and regular practitioner of Bikram Yoga. She hikes, weight trains, and has completed a marathon.
Throughout her career Estela has motivated and counseled hundreds of individuals. Her NON-DIET approach has taught her clients how to reach their full potential both inside and out!
